At Summer Solace Tallow, our product line is highly intentional and soulfully crafted with regional, regenerative ingredients, guided by traditions that honor the healing wisdom of animal fats. Our nutrient-dense tallow pays homage to ancient practices. We hand-pour and dry-render fresh suet from regeneratively raised cattle at Stemple Creek Ranch in Tomales Bay, California.
Each offering is deeply rooted in place. We believe that skin health reflects overall well-being, and that humans can only be as healthy as their homelands. Every formula is enriched with extra virgin olive oil grown by Indigenous land stewards and infused with the therapeutic scents of Northern California’s diverse botanical community.

What is Tallow?
At Summer Solace, Tallow is as good as gold, and even better.
We are the prime movers of Regenerative Tallow® and the Slow Body Care Movement®. We source the suet naturally surrounding the loins and kidneys of beef cattle, which we know were raised with care, respect, and reverence.
Although often discarded in modern times, tallow has historically been used in a myriad of culinary and cosmetic applications and would never have been considered part of the waste stream. Tallow has been a vital companion, gift, fuel, and medicine among pastoral communities throughout human history.
At Summer Solace, we alchemize our tallow in-house using slow, soft, traditional dry-rendering methods, starting with suet (we never use trim fat!) from healthy animals raised for meat at Stemple Creek Ranch. These beings spend their lives grazing freely as part of a highly considered regenerative pastureland in Northern California.
