These earthen candle vessels are shaped from locally foraged clays and minerals from the Sierra Mountains in collaboration with local Berkeley potter Matt Fishman (as mentioned in The New York Times).
Hand-poured with our original base of tallow, calendula wax, and raw beeswax, scented with highly perfumed moody Lapsang Souchong smoky black tea, warm spice of Moroccan cardamom pods, and transcending Vietnamese siam wood and Omani Frankincense resins.
Indeed a reflection of the local Northern California landscape in form and spirit, our earthen candles are the perfect pair for a foggy day in the Bay.
Ingredients: Suet Tallow (fat) from certified regeneratively-raised Northern California cattle, organic marigold CO2 extract (Calendula), raw beeswax from local California hives, lapsang souchong black tea (Camellia sinensis), smoked frankincense, Siam wood, Choya loban essential oil from distilled terra cotta pots, and organic vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) essential oil.
Available in two vessels: Fog Glazed and Smoke Brushed Terracotta.
Due to the handmade construction, locally forged clay medium, and pit-fired setting, variations in clay color do occur.
Each vessel is 4 ounces and made only for Summer Solace.
