Profoundly woodsy with myrrh, frankincense, and vetiver, with slightly sweet notes from palo santo, top notes of yuzu citrus, and French apricot melange. The aromatherapy blend of Genji is very grounding, calming, and spiritual.

Inspired by the literature of 11th-century Japan, this enlightening and intimate perfumed tallow balm inspires deep contemplation. Its unique woodsy scent is evocative of misty temple mornings.

Perfect for meditation, clear the mind and ground the spirit with the powerful aromatherapeutic properties of cedar, vetiver, myrrh, frankincense, palo santo, hinoki, and yuzu.

Slow-made with the rendered suet fat of Northern California pasture-raised cattle and blended with truly extra-virgin olive oil grown by the Yocha Dehe Wintun Nation, rehydrate your body from the outside.

Apply anywhere on the body, including hands, face, or hair, for an incredibly luscious, moisturizing, and meditative experience.

Ingredients:

Suet Tallow (fat) from certified regeneratively-raised Northern California cattle, organic California-grown marigold (Calendula), Séka Hills extra-virgin olive oil, Organic Gold Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia Chinensis) from Northern California, organic vetiver (Chrysopogon zizanioides) essential oil, organic myrrh (Commiphora myrrha) essential oil, organic frankincense (Boswellia) essential oil, organic palo santo (Bursea graveolens) essential oil, organic hinoki cypress (Chamaecyparis obtusa) essential oil, apricot melange essential oil, and organic yuzu (Citrus junos) absolute.

The jar contains 60 ml.

To expedite the process, provide a photograph of the issue within five days of receiving your order. A 10% restocking fee applies, and customers are responsible for shipping. Please note that gift cards cannot be returned.

Orders are processed within 24-48 hours and shipped promptly. Orders placed after 1 pm PST on Fridays will be processed on Mondays. We do not ship on holidays or weekends.

Once your order is processed, you will receive a confirmation email with tracking information. Delivery typically takes 4-7 days, depending on the shipping carrier and option chosen. Consider expedited shipping for specific delivery dates.

Your USPS or UPS tracking code may take up to 48 hours to activate. Once your order leaves our facility, we are no longer responsible for its destination. If there are issues with your order's arrival, contact us within seven days of the expected delivery date based on the tracking information.

For international orders, be aware of potential import taxes and customs fees, which the recipient is responsible for. We cannot predict these charges as they vary by country.

If your package was marked as delivered but you haven't received it, please contact your local USPS office to inquire about its location and speak to the postal worker who delivered it. Check with your neighbors to see if they have it. You will need to file a reimbursement claim with USPS or your chosen shipping carrier. Once your package is scanned and delivered in your area, we cannot provide further information or assistance. Responsibility lies with the delivery service.

How to Store Tallow Balm:
Store your tallow balm in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight.

Why We Don’t Whip Our Balms:
We avoid whipping our balms to prevent introducing air and bacteria, which can inflate volume and compromise quality. Whipping can also cause melting, leaving less product in the jar. Instead, we hand-pour our tallow to preserve its full benefits and maintain authenticity.

Adjusting Balm Texture:
To soften your balm, immerse the closed container in warm water until melted. Remove the lid and let it cool in the refrigerator. This ensures the balm remains soft and easy to spread. Tallow solidifies in cold and softens in warm conditions.

Storing Tallow Soap:
Use a raised soap dish to allow handcrafted soap to dry between uses, prolonging its life.

Shelf Life of Tallow Products:
Our tallow products have a long shelf life, best used within nine months. For maximum effectiveness, use within 8-12 weeks of opening. We employ a food-grade preservative to maintain potency.

Tallow for Facial Use and Children:
Tallow is safe for most skin types, including sensitive skin. Rich in essential vitamins, it helps with conditions like eczema and diaper rash, making it a healthier alternative to synthetic creams.

Trimming Tallow Candle Wicks:
Our tallow-beeswax candles burn cleanly with Eco wicks. Trimming is optional but recommended for safety. Allow your candle to burn for about 4 hours for an even wax pool. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
